E-RGG
These cable and pipe transits are used in high-risk land-based environments to minimize danger by preventing the spread of fire, water, gas, chemicals and other hazardous substances.
E-RGG provide the same sealing as the standard MCT Brattberg system but with added, built-in protection against electromagnetic pulse (due to lightning or nuclear blast) and interference (EMI), electronic sabotage (synthetic EMP) and static electricity.
E-RGG frame type is bolted onto a concrete wall or floor or a plaster board wall. It is manufactured from a 60x60x6 mm angle bar.
- The E-RGG is also approved for grounding and bonding applications.
Correct and safe installations
To achieve the highest standard of safety, a cable or pipe transit must be installed correctly. As there are many different types of frame – which may be either welded, bolted or glued into position – and insert block, it is essential that installers known when to use the most appropriate installation method.
For more information, please view following instructions, videos or download manuals as PDFs.
Use bolts for this transit
This transit was designed for areas where welding is prohibited or welding induced stress levels making welding unacceptable. This transit is therefore to be fastened by bolts to ensure installation quality.

The standard transit is made of an angle bar 60x60x6 mm, in mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium. The mild steel transits are supplied with two types of surface finish, primer or galvanized. The internal width is always 120.5 ± 0.5.
Standard frames come in eight sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
The internal width can be 60.5 ± 1 (Size 1,3,5,7) or 120.5 ± 1 (2,4,6,8).
All the frames can be manufactured in combinations.
E-RGGO transit are of the same type as the E-RGG transits but with one of the ends removable which enables installation where cables already have been pulled.

General
The system consists of a frame, rubber blocks and a compression unit. The frame is casted or bolted to a structure and packed with rubber blocks suited for each cable and pipe dimension. The compression unit is inserted to compress the rubber blocks against cables and pipes to establish a tight seal.
- The EMC systems is also approved for grounding and bonding (G&B) applications.
Benefits of MCT Brattberg E-systems
- Protects against electrical and magnetic interference (EMI), “bugging”, electronic sabotage (SEMP) and static electricity (ESD).
- Assists cable management.
- Integral earthing between cables and wall screen.
- Also seals the penetration against the passage of fire, water, gas, sound and environmental hazards.
- Special E-Series for Grounding and Bounding
- System can be dismantled and re-used.
